I attended and art school and graduated this year. I learned a lot about colours, contrasts, perspectives, composition and everything else you need to know to make art fun and nice looking! Everyone has their own style and nobody should try to force a different one onto themselves. You're unique just like your art! Keep it up! I'd love to help you out :)
