Impulses are like shooting stars, we see them and make a wish, hoping for a good or bad outcome; Sometimes we simply ignore them, and in the end, I'm unsure whether validating that reaction is good or bad. It's possible that preaching about it is like an attainable goal for us, and it ends up coming true, or if we ignore it, we simply repress that percentage of energy.
