Islam
Islam is one of the world's major monotheistic religions, founded in the 7th century CE by the Prophet Muhammad in the Arabian Peninsula. It is based on the belief in one God (Allah in Arabic), and the teachings of the Qur'an, which is considered the final revelation from God. Muslims, the followers of Islam, believe that Muhammad is the last prophet in a line that includes figures like Abraham, Moses, and Jesus. Islam emphasizes submission to the will of Allah and a way of life guided by the Five Pillars: faith, prayer, fasting, charity, and pilgrimage.
