Cricket is a bat-and-ball sport played between two teams of eleven players each on a circular or oval field. At its center lies a 22-yard pitch with wickets (sets of stumps and bails) at each end. The game consists of one team batting to score runs, while the other team bowls and fields to restrict runs and dismiss the batters.
