THE LONG VOWEL /3:/ SOUND AND SHORT VOWEL /e/ SOUND
Interestingly,Both Phonograms Sounds Written Above Are Same Sound But The Former Is A Long Sound While The Later Is A Short Sound Respectively. Apparently,These Sounds Are Mistakingly Pronounced In A Particular West Africa Country Like Nigeria Due To Her Enormous Initial Ethnic Interference In The Second Language Called English. Whereas,The Vowel /3:/ And /e/ Sounds Above Can Be Easily Pronounced Using A Homophones That's Word Having Same Sound Different Meaning And Spelling As It May. For Example: Bed-Bird Dirt-Debt Fir-Fair First-Fest etc These Are Perfect Examples Above.
