“Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” From this particular passage we see that the central feature of faith is confidence or trust. In the Bible, the object of faith is God and his promises. As we look to the Bible to understand faith, we can identify four distinct types of faith that are covered within its teachings.
Dead Faith. James informs us that faith without works is dead (James 2:17). Demonic Faith, Vain Faith. The very faith necessary to believe God is also provided by the grace of God to all who will receive it.
